The Barnabas Award

Testing . . . One, two, three, testing *tap tap tap* . . . Is this thing on? Ahem, ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to announce that I have been nominated for the Barnabas Award! And a huge shoutout and thank you to Tina at God’s Kid Speaks for giving me this nomination! She’s an awesome blogger and one of my best followers and supporters. Totally follow her if you haven’t already.

This is my first time doing an award so I hope I do it right. If I don’t you can all hit me.

The Barnabas Award is presented in recognition of the encouragement and inspiration a blogger brings to their readers.

How This Award Works:

Thank the person who nominated you, and share their blog. Think of five bloggers that encourage and inspire you and nominate them. List five things about yourself and answer the questions. Lastly, ask your nominees five questions. Why five? Because it is the number that signifies grace.

Five Things About Myself:

1) I can totally sing.

2) I can’t close my left eye separately from my right.

3) Adult coloring books stress me out.

4) I’m good at math (that doesn’t mean I like it).

5) I have a good sense of humor.

Questions For Me

If you could meet any person face to face, who’s either dead or alive (other than Jesus) who would it be and why?

Honestly the first person that pops into my head is Tom Hiddleston but I don’t think that’s the sort of answer you were driving at here.

What do you want people to remember about you?

How I made them feel when they were with me.

Name three people in your life who have been your biggest encouragers.

My mom, Mr. Byrd, and a Malaysian pastor.

Name something that you’re very passionate about and why it’s so important to you.

World peace but I’m only low-key passionate about it. Almost everyone wants world peace, right?

A quote, poem, or Scripture that’s very inspiring to you.

I found five I like:

“What defines us is how well we rise after falling.” —Unknown

“There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.” —C.S. Lewis

“When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.” —Abraham Lincoln

“I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.” —Og Mandino

“Never, ever let anyone tell you what you can and can’t do. Prove the cynics wrong. Pity them for they have no imagination. The sky ’s the limit. Your sky. Your limit.” —Tom Hiddleston

Questions For My Nominees:

What’s the last thing you Googled?

Last movie you watched that made you cry?

Your favorite ice cream flavor?

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?

If you could live anyplace, where would you live? (Including fictional universes and places.)

And Lastly, I Nominate:

Steve from Steve’s Country

Vivian from God’s Whispers of Truth

Dawn from Drawing Closer to Christ

Lydia from Lydia’s Blog

Matt from Jesusluvsall’s Blog

There we go. Have fun, y’all. 🙂

    1. Thanks, and you’re very welcome! Oh, yes, the singing. Haha. 😄 Well, I don’t doubt that the neighbors have gotten an earful of my singing voice in the past. I like to think of them as my audience. 😁
